TurnNet Labs LLC · Phase 1 Alpha

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 2, 2026 · Last updated: October 3, 2026

Draft for review. This policy describes TurnNet’s current alpha data practices. It is not legal advice. Have a qualified attorney review before treating it as final compliance documentation.

1. Who we are

TurnNet Labs LLC (“TurnNet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the TurnNet alpha testnet at turnnet.network, including browser and desktop node software, and related SaaS products such as OpenDesk and Labs Desk. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use those services.

Contact: privacy@turnnet.network

2. Scope — testnet disclaimer

This is an experimental alpha, not a finished consumer product. Data practices may change as we add features. We will update this page when we make material changes.

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email (handled by our database provider, Supabase). A sign-in token is stored on your device so you stay signed in; signing out or tapping “Switch email” removes it.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Email address — used to sign you in with a one-time code and to keep your credit balance; also used if you join the data-buyer waitlist on the buyer console (package interest only — no payment until live)
  • Optional company / contact details — if you submit the buyer interest form (company name, volume notes, use case)
  • Referral link — if you sign up through someone’s invite link, we record who invited you so referral bonuses can be applied. The public leaderboard only shows a masked version of an inviter’s email (for example “ca•••@g•••.com”).
  • Support messages — if you email us

Information collected automatically

  • Node and session activity — heartbeat timestamps, relay/telemetry counters, node identifiers, and related operational logs needed to credit alpha balances and run the network
  • Home-check jobs — if you agree and mine, your device may load short public HTTPS pages we assign (URL, status, timing, and for some jobs a snapshot of how the page looked). The websites being checked see your public IP address. We do not use this to read your files, photos, browsing history, or other devices on your home network
  • Device and browser signals — basic user-agent, platform, and performance data used for compatibility and abuse prevention
  • IP address and request metadata — collected by our hosting and database providers for security, rate limiting, and diagnostics
  • Local storage — your browser may store your email and session preferences locally on your device so you stay signed in

Desk products (OpenDesk / Labs Desk)

  • Workspace / CRM data you enter — names, phones, emails, notes, deals, calendar items, and similar business records you or your seats store in the desk
  • Activity related to contact shortcuts — when you use Call / Text / WhatsApp / Meet helpers, the desk may log that you started an action (for example “click-to-call”) on a file; the call or message itself usually happens in your device’s phone, Messages, WhatsApp, or Google account — not inside TurnNet’s servers
  • Optional sync / cloud — if you enable cloud sync or related features, book data may be stored with our infrastructure providers
  • Optional paid telephony / video add-ons — if you buy screen-pop or branded Meet, providers such as Twilio or our video partner may process phone numbers, call metadata, or meeting URLs as needed to deliver that add-on

What we do not intentionally collect in Phase 1 (protocol alpha)

  • Government ID or payment card data (the alpha is free)
  • Precise GPS location
  • Contents of your personal files, photos, or other devices on your home network

3A. Third-party apps you open from the desk

Click-to-call, SMS, WhatsApp, and Google Meet shortcuts open third-party applications or websites. Those providers process information under their privacy policies. TurnNet does not control WhatsApp, Google Meet, your phone carrier, or your device messaging app. Review their policies if you use those shortcuts.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the alpha Service
  • Maintain account balances, Genesis multipliers, and registered node records
  • Detect fraud, exploits, duplicate accounts, and heartbeat abuse
  • Run daily security probes and protect user data
  • Communicate service updates, incidents, or policy changes
  • Operate Desk Products you subscribe to (CRM, calendar helpers, optional add-ons)
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use and Desk product terms

We do not sell your personal information.

Agency/workspace operators are responsible for lawful collection and use of their clients’ or customers’ contact data inside the desk (including consent for calls and texts where required).

5. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

  • Infrastructure providers — e.g., cloud hosting (such as Vercel) and database/backend services (such as Supabase) that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection consistent with this policy

We do not share your email or balance with other users. Profile and ledger data are restricted by database permissions and security-definer functions designed to block bulk scraping.

6. Data retention

We retain alpha account and telemetry data while your account is active and as needed to operate the testnet, resolve disputes, and maintain security logs. We may delete or anonymize inactive alpha accounts after reasonable notice, with reasonable notice.

If we reset the alpha environment for testing, balances or logs may be rebuilt from backups or manual recovery procedures — see our internal runbooks. We will communicate major wipes to the community when feasible.

6A. Cookies and local storage

We use first-party essential cookies and on-device storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and run the Service (including miner session, Labs Desk, and related products). These are necessary for the product to work.

We do not sell personal information. A Google conversion tag loads only if you tap “Allow conversion tag” on the site notice. Essential-only visitors do not get that tag. Clearing site data in your browser may sign you out.

ThePit at pit.turnnet.network has its own in-product privacy page and cookie notice.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including access controls, row-level protections, rate limits, and automated security probes. No system is perfectly secure. Report suspected vulnerabilities or unauthorized access to security@turnnet.network.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing.

To request access or deletion of your alpha account data, email privacy@turnnet.network from the address tied to your account. We may verify ownership before acting.

You can clear local browser storage to remove saved email/session data on your device. That does not delete cloud records until we process a deletion request.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child provided data and we will delete it.

10. International users

TurnNet Labs LLC is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate, which may have different privacy laws than your home country.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be announced on the site or by email when appropriate.
